Hi Siemens Experts,

I'm looking to update a Win XP Workstation to Win 10 and with that, update the current licensed software that runs on it, see the attached screenshot.

I don't need the WinCC flex software anymore but he rest is required. Unfortunately I don't know enough about Siemens' product families & how they might overlap. Is the PCS7 software add-on software or is it a completely separate product here?

Can anyone direct me in what products are required to replace what I currently have and also what licensing is required for it?

A migration strategy would be a bonus here but I'll settle for what I need as replacements.

Hello Robert,

PCS7 is its own software package.

It is a big bundle that consists of many of the individual Siemens software packages.

The latest version today is v9.0 SP3 and will run on Windows 10.

it will be better to contact your siemens local partner,

updating your DCS is not so easy, it will be an update of all components in your system, ES, Os, OS clients ...etc and may be the firmware of the AS or all the AS will be replaced ...

Thanks both of you. I've reached out to my local Siemens office and have been put in contact with a third party whom are specialists in this area. Lets hope something comes of it.

Any more info is always welcome as I'm a newbie to PCS7 (and Siemens in general)
