Tarik Posts: 71 Rating: (0)	HI, Please iam tryingto configure SINUMERIK PP 72/48 I/O module and sinumerik analog drive interface for 4 axis ADI4 to SINUMERIK 840 DE SL ,NCU 720.2 version 2.6 by usingthe flowing softwares 1-SIMATIC MANAGER Version 5.4 +SP5 . 2-840DE sl toolbox version 2.6 i didnt find any information that can help to configur the above items,and alsoididnt find the I/O in the catalog of hardware configuration. Can anybody show me where can i find usful information about these topics. PLease Advice

The gsd file should have been loaded with the Toolbox. It is in PROFIBUS DP/SINUMERIK You will need to read the manual because the isochronous profibus comms needs to be set up. I had to get the gsd file for the PP72/48 card from Siemens. I just ring my local application engineer. Give your sales guy a ring or contact the hot line direct. Pee

Yes you need to install GSD file for Sinumerik -PP72/48 Open Simatic manager > hardware configuration> options > install GDS file > update catalog i am attaching you the screen shot of the same for the reference. Icheck in the 840d sl toolbox for PP72/48 GSD file i just found PP72_48-PN in CD>sw_2.6>toolbox>GSDML>PP72_48-PN It was alrady instaled in SIMATIC MANAGER, And i think this file belong to profinet connection not for profibus connection My quastion is this file what i need? if it is ,i cant find it in the hardware catalog as it show in the attached picture. and if it is not the filethat i need ,can you show me how can i get this file. If not drop me your email in a private message Note I have changed the file extension to zip to allow the upload on the Siemens system. Change the file extension to GSD it is NOT a zip file. Once you copy this file extract SIEM80A2 to Step7 directory S7DATA>GSD and make update catalog in Simatic manager you can able to see the information in Profibus DP>Addtional Field Device>Drives>IO>PP-input /output Module. Tarik Posts: 71 Rating: (0)	Hi Iam now working off line in hardware configuration as shown in the attached file,i try to save and compile the I/O module in my Programmer. An Save and compile error(1230:3000) appear "the aystem data could not be ceated because the configuration is inconsistent" and the list of messages is [The DP slave with the PROFIBUS address 1 of the DP master system 1 has to contain at least one module.] Please Advice Tarik Attachment IO.JPG (333 Downloads)

When I click on the pp module and insert it onto the profibus the hardware box has :- PP Input /Output Module in the box and displays part number 6FC5 611-0CA01-0AA0. Your picture is showing an I/O manager This only gives you an interface you then have to put the A/E 6/9 A222, E212121 unit inside it. Attachment hw1.zip (354 Downloads)
