atharva Bronze Member Joined: 2/27/2007 Last visit: 3/30/2022 Posts: 79 Rating: (5)	Thanks Ekalavya Operating system WindowsXP SP2, Real serial port, using RS232cable PLC802D software version V3.1.2.11 (Version comes with machine) I did try in set PG/PC interface--select---802D--install Somthings happens tries to install something but it did not install soI can not see 802D PPI access via serial Please guide me further to solve the problem. I didn't find the software CD of STEP7 that is why I need some different solution. Regards Arun

By any chance if you have installed your older PLC toolbox try to uninstall the same first..and then try install your PLC tool box what you have it in your CD... If the still same probelm persists can you install it on other PC/laptop and check it... Hope this will solve your problem. Regards, Ekalavya

I uninstall Step 7 and install Programing Tool then I reinstall Step 7 but the problem persist. Can somebody help me? another cuestion. It is posible estabilish comunication with PLC of 802D with "PC/PPI cable" interface or "serial cable (PPI)" interface? If the answer is Yes, how can I do this? thanks in advance. Regards.

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, Can you try to uninstall the 802DPPI and install the same.... it simple go to SETPG/PC interface in that: > Interface >Add / Remove > install / remove interfaces > try to uninstall the PLC 802DPPI in Installed> try to install again from the selection path PLC 80DPPI It should work.... (as you saw in the attachment) mr Ekalavya i have pc/ppi multimaster cable6ES7901-3CB30-0XA0. can i use this cable to edit sinumerik 802d plc with "programming tool 802d software"? should be fifth dip switch on the cable on or off (one or zero)?

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello, If you have installed your toolbox of 802D properly it should come....Please check it properly / uninstall and check it... Just use RS232 cable for connecting it works superbly.... give try and check....as far as i understand RS232 works Regards, Prakash

saschko Advanced Member Joined: 11/26/2006 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 37 Rating: (5)	Same problem today with V3.1 Programming Tool PLC802,and fresh installation of WIN7.I have installed TIA portal V11 too.And after one day trying and mistakes, the solution is- Open regedit,and merge/802.reg/ This file adds PLC802(PPI) to thelistof installed protocols.And then,same procedure with / progtool.reg / ,which is added protocol to Progtool.
