Hi,

For some reason the PLCSIM V17 doesn't want to communicate with HMI Simulation. The data on HMI shows up as '####'. The PG/PC interface looks good. The HMI Connection Access point matches the PG/PC interface.

PLCSIM works fine.

I am using latest version of TIA (V17). Also, I just recently noticed that there is and option to check 'legacy pg/pc interface'. What does this mean? Has siemens got rid of PG/PC interface for PLCSIM?

CPU: ET200SP

HMI: TP700 comfort Panel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the PLC Settings.

We had the same issue when first using TIA V17.

Under the PLC settings; Protection & Security; Connection Mechanisms, uncheck the box 'Only allow secure PG/PC and HMI communication'.

As i can see in the screenshot from this post of hmi connection, there is a password configured.

As far as i know, plcsim does not support any password protection.

For PLCSIM and WinCC Runtime simulation, please configure the cpu to full access in plc settings and delete also the password configured in hmi connection settings.

The access permission is set to full access (Incld fail-safe). I removed the password from HMI conn settings as well. Still no change. Please attached image
