I have a similar problem. I am trying to send strings to a certain port on the PC. 

I've read various manuals, example programs that I found online(youtube) and can't get the TCON communication block to connect to the PC. Once this works I think that the sending of the string is just a formality. 

I just get the busy signal and the status 7002. If I listen on the 2000 port nothing shows up... 

Tried to open the ports on the PC, disabled firewall, but nothing helps... Any one have a clue what could be blocking the establishment of the connection between the PLC an PC?

Yes sorry for the lack of info from my side.

I am working with an S7-1500 PLC (CPU 1511-C) that is connected to a PC on the same network. I'm working in TIA Portal v15.1.

The PLC's IP is: 10.145.65.210

The PC's IP is: 10.145.65.209

Hello.
I removed the clock bit from the REQ input of the TCON block, but it still doesn't connect.

When I set the bit that is lineked to the REQ input of TCON to''1'' the status goes from 7000 to 7002 and the busy output is ''1''. This lasts for about 10 seconds and then the status changes from 7002 to 7000 and the Busy output goes to ''0'',  but I don't get a Done signal from the TCON block. 

What else can I try?

I just tried this. Deleted the previous code. Inserted just the TCON block and tried to connect to my PG/PC on port 2000 and on port 5000. I also installed the Hercules app and tried to listen for a connection, but nothing is displayed. 

The standalone TCON block works as previously described. When I set the REQ input, the busy output goes to ''1'' and the status to 7002. After a few seconds Status back to 7000 and the busy goes to ''0''. The connection does not establish...

Does the PLC need any further settings to be set in the HW config? Doubt it...

See the attached picture for the TCON configuration. The PLC has the checked the ''Active connection establishment'' option. Is this OK? The PC has to accept the connection?

Sorry for the change in IP's I am trying everythig to get it workig, this is the reason for the IP change.

The machine will be set in a factory this is why the IP's are what they are. But curently the machine is still in our workshop. The machine is not connected to any network, so the PLC is wired through a siemens scalance 8 port switch to the PC.

I will try to connect a s7-1200 PLC directly to my laptop that is the PG if it will work. If not I realy dont know what else I can do...

Hello all.

I have solved it. 

As Duris_I suggested I forwarded the ports and the application in windows firewall, and then It started to work. 

But the thing is. That I did this already on my laptop. On my laptop, the connection still doesn't work with the same settings in the firewall. The connection works to the PC that I want to send the strings. 

Something has to be wrong on my computer that TCP connection does not work...
