ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 9/2/2025 Posts: 22709 Rating: (3071)	Hello, TIA V13 is NOT compatible wit WINDOWS 10, only Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are supported. So please install TIA V13 only on the supported Operating Systems an you get no problem. And look in the compatibility Tool first before you install SW ! Regards Christoph

Always a step backward!!! :D :D Windows 10 should be the latest OS from Microsoft. now only updates or Servicepackes comming up , like MacOS

SIEMENS guarant no compatibility/functionality for TIA V13 with Windows 10. VAuchtung Posts: 8 Rating: (1)	I already did. Works like a charm, simulation, connect to S7-1513PN using office LAN (profinet). I testing PID using SCL, FBD, STL, everything works. WinCC also works. Mine is v13 SP1 Pro version (latest update) -14days trial version. (Last time I wrongly type one year trial :D). I think Windows 10 very compatible with any windows 7 app. In previous windows 8, I get many error. Attachment forsiemens.jpg (2337 Downloads)

KydeX Posts: 47 Rating: (1)	Hi. Still working? I am having problems installing it to Windows 10. It installs, but With some errors during installation. It is really slow, and if I open Device configuration, the portal crashes. Edit: When I disable the Tia Portal Updater, it Works pretty well. I can create New Projects, Connect to PLC and download and monitor. However, I have a Project already created, it is With old 300 series hardware. It has a lot of hardware. Everytime I try to open Devices and Networks, the TIA portal crashes. I've started a New Project and started copying stuff over bit by bit. It turns out it is a .gsd file causing the problem. Everytime I try to add that Product from the hardware catalog, the portal crashes. This Works on my regular computer With Windows 7, but I'm not sure if it is a Windows related issue or something else. Everything else seems to work just fine.

The file is Len_2133.gsd (gse) and is found on this website: http://www.lenze.com/en/application-knowledge-base/article/200412329/1/ Update: I tried installing a different GSD drive file from a different vendor, and the same thing happens. Not sure what to try next. Will probably try a reinstall of the Whole TIA Portal.

wjmax Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, installed last time TIA V13 SP1 on Windows 10 Home edition X64. This is steps i followed: 1. Installed TIA V13 SP1. * during installation has some error, but not critical. 2. After install TIA starting but cant go online. 3. Go to PG/PC settings set my card as tcp/ip auto, and disable firewall. Does not help. 4. Install upd 8 for TIA v13, still no online connection, can't find plc in network. 5. Make tricks of updates network card drivers, same result. 6. In last hope I go to the control panel\ windows programs and feauters \ install windows components: Everything that refer to MSMQ, NET framework, IIS. 7. And after reboot see every plc in my network and can go online. * Not shure that this remedy can help to everyone, but for me it work. * It is not my work machine, for work i still use Windows 7, make it just 4 fun it is very expressive work in TIA Portal on 10 inch dell venue tab ;) Good luck! Nazareno Pacheco Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I was with win 8.1 and installed the TIA Portal V13, updated the SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional and TIA (Totally_Integrated_Automation_Portal_V13_SP1_Upd9). I migrated to win 10 and gave no problem with communication ... is working properly.

In my case the solution was to update the tia portal v13 sp1 to tia portal v13 sp1 + UPDATE 9. For the moment everything is working, I could get online, and download some projects. hope this is useful to someone. thanks.

TIA has never crashed in the year I'm using it under Win10. Funny because many users had issues with it. Though I have to mention I'm running it on a Mac with Parallels as a VM. Regards, Alex

I want to install TIA portal V13 on a Windows Enterprise Version 1809 Compatibility tool shows it is compatible but now I'm not sure. Regards.
