In my setup, I have an equipment which has a S7-1500 Controller. This controller functions as the OPC UA server. I use Ua Expert as the OPC UA Client. The equipment has some events: ProcessStart, ProcessFinish & CollectData. In a namespace, all the events and their corresponding variables are defined. I have created an Object for the Equipment and referenced each required Event. With this, I have genertated an information model nodeset file. I have uploaded the example configuration made in Siome. This functions without problem with OPC UA Servers written in for e.g. C#. With these Servers it possible to trigger these events. But with Tia Portal V17, it is not clear to me, how I can trigger these particular events (ProcessStart, ProcessFinish, CollectData) i.e. Events which are monitored Items and which have the eventNotifier attribute. Currently using the below document, I can see that system alarms/ Events can triggered from the server (PLC) using a FB Program_Alarm(FB700). Alarms & Events and Historical Data via OPC UA (siemens.com) Does anyone know how to do this or have any examples about how to trigger customs events in Tia Portal V17 or V18? The S7-1500 / ET 200SP CPUs are supporting OPC UA Alarms and Conditions since TIA V17 and allow you to send system events, ProDiag messages or programmed alarms (e.g. program_alarm block) to an OPC UA client (e.g. UA Expert). Custom OPC UA Alarms and Conditions are currently not supported. For more information, also see: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109815056/161032787467 |
