hmi tp1200 comfort, stuck at booting screen with the text "SIMATIC HMI" Can communicate via MMC or USB?

domenico2020 Regular Member Joined: 1/10/2020 Last visit: 8/30/2025 Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	hi, i have a simatic hmi tp1200 comfort, the screen freezes on boot with the text "SIMATIC HMI" i can't communicate in any way, is there a way via MMC or USB? I tried them all through prosafe, the problem is that no network device works, so it is impossible to communicate with the pc. I think the only way is something local on the motherboard, so I was asking for a usb or mmc key. maybe a hardware reset could help too, of course I don't know how this can be done, but I think every motherboard has it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from TP900 Comfort stuck at booting screen. Try having the HMI off during the entire restoration process with ProSave and when you hit 'Reset', turn it on. Maybe this way you can communicate with the HMI panel. If not, it would be a good idea to send it in for repair.

I saw that in india they managed to figure it out, but they don't share the solution because they sell the repair. I am in Italy and I have never sent anything for repair, I do not know how to do it and if it is worth it in these cases for the cost. I find it absurd that a product of thousands of euros of blocks suddenly for no reason, I use these products to teach my students, they are not subject to temperatures or industrial agents. so suddenly it got stuck for no reason ... I find it absurd that there is no possibility of a reset ... in cases like this that apparently seem like a block intended to sell a new product ... so I have doubts about sending it in for repair

Try to follow this FAQ and don't forget to configure the PG-PC Interface of your PC, defining the access point as the network card through you use to communicate.TCPIP.1.

More on this I am also very new to this type of systems too. I am experienced electronics guy though and always found myself with completely new system for troubleshooting or repair. Did you get any solution for this? It seems your post is knew and thread is a bit old. thank you in advance
