I really hope you can help me here. First of all, the situation: 

We have made a backup of the entire WinCC Project (6.x), migrated it to (7.4) and restored it on another machine. So far so good, everything is working quite fine. 

Except for the Alarm and Taglogging. As I was told, I just have to copy the entire contents for the ArchiveManager into CommonArchiving, start the RT (+Alarm&Taglogging) for the old data to be linked. This has worked in some cases without any problems. 

The last 2 projects didn’t work this way, I had to link the files manually in the Managers, which was a pain in the… knee, but it worked. Now, trying the exact same way, I’m getting no error, only a .noattachfile and nothing else. The archive is not Linked, no error, only this strange file. 

Please tell me anyone of you has a solution for me.

Have you followed in detail the migration example from the initial version (V6.X) to the current one (V7.4)?

How do you migrate WinCC projects to new versions of WinCC from V4 to V7?

Although it is working correctly (except for the archive data), it may be interesting to review the migration process.

On the other hand, note that if you have redundant WinCC servers, when the files of both servers are copied to the 'Common archiving' folder from the same time period, then you get the information "NoAttach" for the files of the timeperiod which is already attached.

Other situation where "NoAttach" can occur are if the files are read only or defective, or there are problems with the permissions.

Hope this narrows down the problem a bit!

We've the same problem.  I revised that the user: tito_PC have administration rights, is on SIMATIC NET & SIMATIC HMI groups.  But the error remains.  

Did you know any other permissions problems to revise?
