I'd like to be able to parametrize them with drive monitor. Ive installed drive es to be able to see drives (instead of question marks), installed drive monitor...but the menu DRIVE -> PARAMETERIZATION is greyed out in the simatic manager menu. The drives are also not seen in the left column of the projectlike it should be seen but only in the right panel. Can anybody help ? Attachment simatic.JPG (348 Downloads)

Graeme Platinum Expert Joined: 6/4/2008 Last visit: 8/5/2025 Posts: 1518 Rating: (327)	Well ok, if you don't want to use the expand/contract functions, then just double-click the masterdrive object instead and it will expand automatically (and appear on the left) This just looks like project navigation issues, in your image, you had selected the PLC in the left hand window, so then you see the hardware and any other sub-objects of the PLC in the right window. If you then select the sub-object in the left window, then you will see it's attributes in the right window.

How Graeme mention you should add there type drive which will be connected. In your case this is U1_CBP2 and this communication card will be use with for example MASTERDRIVE VC (CUVC) drive. Then if you select this drive all these functions will be valid. Before you should add also Parameter Folder... Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

I attached some screenshots (Open.jpg). I also attached a screenshot of my installed Software (Software.jpg) [Start Button - All Programs - Simatic - Information - Installed Software], perhaps you have the wrong version of Drives ES, or are missing an update package.
