no tag update from winccflexible runtime and step7

SpaceBee Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	hello friends, I am doing a project in step7 ,wincc flexible2008 and would like if someone can clear me a doubt: I'm making a simple configuration to verify that there is communication between WinCC flexible and my plc is an S7-300 (specifically CPU 314C-2DP via PROFIBUS DP with a cp 5611a2) So what I do is this: 1) Connect the CP 5611 card port through a profibus cable to the dp port of my plc, in the case of the 314C-2DP cpu is the 2nd port because the 1st one is only mpi. 2) I create a simple project setting in step7 my plc with profibus address 2 and address for the profibus card(insert -> hmi simatic device -> configuration -> insert the 5611 to the frame--> set profibus address 3) 4) I create a symbol to associate MB0 called for example "flag", I give permission to control and monitor to work in wincc flexible 2008 5) I create a simple program in OB1 to move the flag symbol value to the outputs of my plc: QB124. 6) Download the configuration to my plc 7) I open from step7 tags editor (opens wincc flexible 2008 automatically to make the integration) 8) I turn my tag on (it get address automatically) Name: flag Connection: Connection_1 Data type: byte Address: MB0 9) Insert an i / o field to display the tag and go to properties: Type mode: output Process: my tag in this case "flag" Format type: decimal etc ... So far so good, the problem is when I build the runtime (I'm several days into this and would like if someone can help me) 10) compile and start the simulator 11) income for example the value of 32 (my limits are 0 to 255 because it is 1 byte) and press click to start 12) I see the value varies in i/o field every time I change values 13) I see in step7 and my tag does not change at all!! I assume that if I change the tag in my operator panel should also vary in step7 and therefore also the outputs in my plc?????? Idont know the problem, it´s not updating my tag. It seems the tags synchorization between wincc flexible and step 7 doesn´t works... Anyone have an idea? Thanks for reading, I wanted to make clear all the steps I use to have no doubts. Cheers!

This will not pass your value to CPU. Set it either to "Input" or "Input/Output". Regards, Behnam www.sigmaprocess.ca

SpaceBee Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	thank you Wizard, my mistake, i was using both : wincc flexible runtime and simulator. When i only use runtime i see the changes in my plc s7-300!!!!!!!!!!!! finally!!!!!! thanks to all for the help and patience really appreciatte it. Cheers!

Have you thought of interating your WinCC Flexible program in your Step 7 project? It would relieve you from the task of creating each tag in WinCC flexible based on the I/O address in the PLC by hand, amongst other things. Have a look at the following link: How do you integrate a WinCC flexible project in STEP 7? And search for "integration" in the WinCC Flexible online help. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
