Discrete Alarms

craiglb Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	Hi Folks, Im trying to set up discrete alarms with a little problem. I have mw200 as my alarm word, Im using coils to trigger m201.0 etc. An alarm on m201.0 will trigger the alarm and pop up the alarm page which is what we want. m201.1 and onwards will trigger the alarm but it wont make the alarm page pop up, you have to manually select the alarm page on the screen to view it. Why is this as the alarm is being triggered and displayed.?. Also, how do you show alarm history ? Many regards.

To show the alarms from the alarm buffer you have to choose at the settings of the alarm view/window at the properties -> general -> alarm events, or if you have got a device wich support logs you choose alarm log. best regards.

It was just strange as 201.0 for example would flag the alarm and pop up the window no matter what screen you were on, yet .1 or higher will flag the alarm but wont pop up the window. The alarm types are all set to 'Errors' P.S The HMI is a KTP600
