Structures and UDTs

Kankuamo Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have been reading about structures in WinCC Flex, but I still have some questions. I have created a user define type (UDT) in my PLC to group data from instruments. Some of these values can be edited from the HMI. I create a Faceplate and a Structure that matches the UDT. Here are my questions: When I create the Structure tags is there a way to connect them to the symbols in the PLC or they can only be connect through and absolute address? Is it possible to address the individual elements of a structure in a VB script or do I have to create individual tags for the elements that need to be edited? Thank you

Unfortunately, I think that doesn't answer the first question: When I create the Structure tags is there a way to connect them to the symbols in the PLC or they can only be connect through and absolute address? I just found that topic with Google. I have a very big UDT with a lot of different type of data (bool, word, Time, etc..), and everything is mixed. I am a little bit lazy and would like to create automatically a Structure from an UDT. I think that maybe answering the previous question might help me. Kind regards CVE
