Hello Dolf there are a few ways to do so, none of them are thoughwhatI would call "straightforward and simple". Anyhow, below are afewlinks which contain all sorts of related reference info and application examples andI hope you'll find something suitable for your application amongst them: Diagnosis and Monitoring of IWLANs using SNMP variables Monitoring of Industrial Wireless LAN connections via SNMP OPC Server and Excel Diagnostic Methods for PROFINET Network Components (PROFINET IO, SNMP, WBM) SNMP - the network management protocol Download of the Text Files Private MIB (Management Information Base) V4.2 and SNMP OPC Profile Version 1.0 for SCALANCE W-700 |

I share your sentiment dear Dolf, but it is unfortunately as good as it gets at the moment (if only itwould be possible to simply read out a few selectable ProfiNet I/O based variables from each Scalance, perhaps sometime in the future ...). I have one more possible solution though: If your WinCC flexible based PC accesses the PLC's via Ethernet and is on the same network asyour SCALANCE's (or can reach them), you could use one"HTML browser" object per SCALANCE ona flex screen and point each to the web browser of them. If you simply need to display information and there's no need to trend variables or use them otherwise, it may just be the solution for you. Food for thought anyhow. |
