Displaying a String in IQ field but part missing

When I first dispayed them , both show only the beginning of the string ,by playing around one string lenght 10 is correct but the other string length 40 is always cut of at char 10 String comes from PLC in format byte 0 = length string , bye 1 is actual lenght and then the string itself . Is there any lenght restriction ? using wincc flexible 2008 sp2 Eric

String = 'aabbccddeeffgghh' size in PLC 40 , 16 IQ field length 8 = '########' IQ field lenght 10 ='aabbccddeeff' IQ field lenght 12 ='aabbccddeeff' How are we going to solve this one ? aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi All I have solved the problem , the problem been that I am stupid !!! if I was allowed to swear on this forum , I would do that right now. In the tags screen at the bottom there is a property windows ( that is ,if you DID NOT MINIMISE IT) and there you can change the default size ( 10 ) to say 40... Also if you right click on the colums you can select the length colums So sorry to have wasted your time Eric
