WinCC Flefible on SQL Server Express 2008 R2

I use for develop in Microsoft VStudio 2010 and for Web form and Win forms MS SQL Express 2008 R2 with all updates and i need install WinCC Flexible 2008. In installlationprocess is instaling MSSQL Express 2005. I start installation but version of SQL Writer VSS is already instaled and newer version (10.5) and this is the problem. I can notinstall MSSQL Express 2005. Why can i not run WinCC Flexible on MSSQL 2008 R2...? I try it, but the message is nice,Installed SQL server in newer, is not possible to open project. Thx...

MM1234 Posts: 270 Rating: (53)	Hello Tibor.D, I am not sure if this would be of any help or not as I can't tell you that I tried thispersonaly norwith WinCC Flexible, but from what I've heard from a friend while ago, you should be able to installversions 2005 and 2008 alongif you name the instances of those programs differently as well as run the database for wincc flexible in compatibility mode and one of those ways might perhaps work for you. But WinCC check Server version, not the compatibility... 2008have not problem atach hmi DB file. It is thing of love to oldies from siemens site... Is not problem to put on some config xml file ConnectioString to DB Server... Now i have to buy new PC to run onley Siemens App. So simpley:-)...

I delete data of WINCCFLEXEXPRESS server. I have install Wincc flexibe 2008 I have install SP2 for WinCC Flexible 2008 I have install Update 13 for WinCC Flexible 2008 SP2 All done I run it. I have open project, and i try rebuild this project and.... I SEE THE SAME PROBLEM, I CAN NOT COMPILE ORADDNEW VB SCRIPT. ERROR IN LINE -1, COLUMN 1 Can me some one help?
