Can you set the amount of discrete alarms in the alarm view?

When the 50 alarmsare reached, the oldestalarm should make place for a new alarm. Normally we fix this in thePLC with a FIFO or LIFO,but since this system isalready finished i was wondering if there is no option for it in WinCC? I found something about buffer deletion on buffer overflow? Alsoyou can set a tag with scheduler(job) on buffer overflow. Butby what factor is the buffer space/percentage determined? Hopefully you have some solutions! Thanks! Nick Hi, You don't need for a jobs or scripting. Configure alarm log with max 50 entries and make this log as cyclic. Then it will do what you need automatically. Offcourse this will not work with the online alarm. I'm not sure if you can even control this with the AlarmView. Also you need to consider that alarm has states: come-in, come-out, acknowledged, so all states will be separate entry in the log.

What the customer wants is a list where he can see which alarmshave occuredduring theproduction week. With that list/log file he can show us which problems are still in the machine. Thanks!

So i searched on the forum and found this thread: Display alarm log on storage card in real time. But nobody replied on it, so do you know if it's possible to open the log from the MMC online in the panel? And perhaps you can add an example? Thanks!

Here you can see that configured log will handle only 50 entries and as long it is circular log it will overwrite oldest alarms. As I have already mentioned please keep in mind that you will have 1 entry when alarm come-in, 2nd entry when it is acknowledged and 3rd entry when it come-out. So you need approx 150 entries for 50 alarm. About on-line alarm from a log. I don't believe you can do anything unless refresh screen somehow. It is a log so it acts as a log, not as online alarms.
