Example_1: In example_1, the remaining runtime is output directly from the "BCD" output on the timer to a variable on the operator panel. In order to display the remaining runtime "correctly" without taking due account of the time base, the "Time" data type has been selected on the operator panel for the "remaining runtime" variable (STEP 7 program: blocks FC10; DB10).
