Text Warning on HMI screen

Is it possible to display text warnings for the operators on HMI screen? e.g, when the operator will activate the "START" button from HMI to start a time-based activity WITHOUT setting time, he should get a textual warning like "SET TIME FIRST" which will flash in red color text,for say 5 sec. WinCC Flex 2008 SP3 S7-315 2DP Step7 V5.5 SP1 And, what would be the procedure to have several different textual alarms/warnings to alert the operators under different scenarios? Regards

You cantrigger the alarm abouta timer in your plc. you can find more about messages in the following links. See the chapter 4. Regards Hello, In my opinion, you can do it in another way different than of Alarm/Event messages. I think you would like the operator to work with the HMI like wizard, some advise messages would popup at certain stages and flashes for certain time. You can manage these texts using some events like visable / invisable bits anf manage these bits within your Step 7 software. Hope this helps.
