Display Infotext at runtime

DLittlejohn412 Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	Hello How do you configure winCC Flexible to display the infotext of objects on the screen? For example, on a button, I have configured infotext that describes the action the button performs. I want the operator to be able to see the information.

If you have keyboard on a device then you need to press <ALT+H> and you will see helptext on focused object. If you have touch screen device, then you need to call "ShowOperatorNotes" function which will also show infotext of screen object which has focus.

DLittlejohn412 Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	Darius Thank you for the reply. I am using touch screen only. I tried the operator notes, which does work. The probelm then becomes, how can I make that display without the other action for the button also happen? Ideal would be a way to either hover and get the text, or press with the ability to put actions into the infotext window. Not being able to do this, I need to create a separate "help" button next to eaxh of the other buttons to get the info text to appear. I also wanted to expand this and use this within a faceplate, but I am not allowed the showoperatornotes command within the faceplate editor.
