Wincc Flex sp1 projects migration to Wincc comfort V11 SP2 SE

Kevbloke Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Hi all,Sorry if im covering oldground thats already been covered, but im getting conflicting information so i would like to here how to do it from the experts. I have projects (wincc flex sp1)which are incorporated into step7 projects. I have recently loaded Wincc comfort V11 sp2 SE onto my laptop and tried to migrate a couple from the step7 project hmi files . I get an error saying i can only migrate projects which have been saved in wincc flex sp2. Ive been told that i have to save them in wincc flex sp2 and then migrate to winncc comfort I dont have sp2). I have also seen that there may be a migration tool that can convert these files before migrating into wincc comfort. None of the projects are stand alone and only get sent to me as part of an existing step7 project. I am getting confused and at this stage andprobably looking deeper than i should. Any advice would be much appreciated please. Many thanks Kev

Look at this entry:How do you migrate a WinCC flexible 2008 project to WinCC V11 (TIA Portal)? It should answer all your questions regarding migration.

I have down loaded Wincc flex sp2 and sp2 update 13 as suggested in other posts but im stillgetting the error " The project was created with an incompatible or Beta version of Wincc flexible. It was last opened with (v1.4.0.0 (1.16.16)). Open the project with a valid wincc flexible version. If it was a Beta version, use the official release version" I have tried several different projects with the same error every time. I have tried opening fromStep7 v5.5 and also a stand alone project. I have had this error since i started posting but didnt mention it because someone told me it was due to the SP1 to Comfort issue. Right now im not worried about the comort side i would just like to open the project in flex. Any ideas please guys Kevin
