I nead to connect several devices programmed as modbus RTU slaves to wincc flexible 2008 sp2.

Connection is via RS-232.... so firs device is connected to COM 1, second device to COM 2,....)

But when I try toset second connection, after setting "communication driver" to "Modicon Modbus", it emedeatly goes "orange" and flexi says that "maximum number of interfaces for the communication driver exceeded"....

Any idea what to do?

Maybe to use some OPC server (opc is connected to four rs-232 modbus slaves, and flexi is connected to opc?)?

The problem is that modicon modbus communication driver exceeded maximum number of interfaces (it allows only one ??)

Is there any way to "change" this and use driver at (minimum two) interfaces (in my case on com 1 and com 3).

(in att sending screen with problem)

I will like not to use opc server :-)
