Can We download program to op73 micro using cp5512 mpi?

Reymond Posts: 112 Rating: (0)	Dear friends, I tried to configure the settings on op73 micro and i found out that in the transfer settings only serial channel is possible. But when i go to my wincc flex and go to transfer settings i'm able to choose mpi/dp, serial 232and usb. I don't have right now a serial cable but i have mpi, can i still download my program to op73 micro? Thanks in advance.

In your flexible project you use a OP73 and not a OP73micro (there are different panels!) OP73 can use MPI OP73 micro only seriell or USB/PPI I think you have to buy a seriell or USB/PPI wire. regards,

By the way what type of serial cable do i need here? I also have pc/ppi here but it is not usb type, is connected to com 1, can i used this one? Thanks in advance.

But I still have problem downloading to my op73 micro because what I can only select on my download settings is serial and usb/ppi and what i have is rs232ppi. Do you think i missed something? andyfal Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hia Begginer I had the same problem using a sierial / ppi cable connected to the com port, so we bought a usb /ppi and problem solved, connected straight away. hope this helps cheers Andy.

counter Posts: 46 Rating: (1)	Dear Concern I am placing a reply for the future beginners , as the subject "Can We download program to op73 micro using cp5512 mpi?" draws my attension. Yes one can use CP5512/11 to program the OP73 panel using WinCC Flexible. Just choose the MPI/DP option in the WinCC Flex with the OP73 MPI address inside the transfer option (you can put MPI address manually inside the OP73 panel using the settings option of the panel). Before that you need to choose the CP5512/11 as your PG/PC interface. It very straight and works. -- Thanks
