MJRVSV Posts: 166 Rating: (1)	Good Morning All We have got a Machining Centre with 840D and 611D This machine has got a tilting yoke (B axis) which rotates between -11.5 degree to 11.5 degree In this axis current shoots even upto 65% even after complete removal of Hydralic Brake and Keeper plate (we have taken out Hydraulic Brake and keeper plates on both sides just to make sure that current does not shoot up due to Hydraulic Brake and mecahnical Keeper Plates), tilting yoke moves along Banana shped LM Guides, Guides are not worn out We also get huge vibration while moving B axis even at 1/2 of specified rapid rate (originally rapid rate was 1rpm now we are trying at 0.5 rpm) We tried by doing Automatic controller seetings and saved new parameters related to Gain and Time Kindly advice for the following : a) To overcome overcurrent problem b) To reduce Noise in B axis during movement Best Regards, M. MJRVSV Posts: 166 Rating: (1)	Dear Sir Thanks for your guidence Actually we bypassed scale then we did not find any vibration in B axis then we concluded that there is some mechanical issues with Ballscrew etc For the time being we reduced Position Control Gain from 0.5 to 0.3, enable scale again and vibration reduced When we bypassed scale as per following paramters, we did not get any error, axis movement was smooth, direction ok but when we tried to reference, axis continued to move till it reached Hardware Limit may be because, it did not get null pulses from Motor encoder Parameter No. For Scale For Motor encoder 30230 2 1 31000 0 0 31020 36000 2048 31040 1 0 34200 3 1 34100 1 0 32100 0 1 36100 -99999 Limits 36110 99999 Limits 34090 0 After home check with dial and set value Parameter for setting reference point. 32110 -1 1 set dirction of axis for refernce. For the time being we reduced Position Control Gain from 0.5 to 0.3, enabled scale again and vibration reduced When we bypassed scale as per following parameters, we did not get any error, movement was smooth, direction ok but axis was not getting referenced instead moved upto Hardware limit most likely because it did not get reference pulse from Motor encoder
