CU240-2 PN firmware upgrade 4.5->4.6

DavidBrown Gold Member Joined: 6/29/2012 Last visit: 12/25/2023 Posts: 975 Rating: (9)	I have a CU240-2 PN FW4.5. I wanted to upgrade to FW4.6. I used a mmc of 2GB. It was empty at start, but I did not explicitely format it. I unzipped the firmware 4.6 I downloaded from the Siemens site and copied it to the mmc-card. I put the MMC it in the CU, powered the drive. But de BOP-2 kept continuously showing : 'reading pX', with pX I mean continuously changing parameter numbers. The leds rdy en bf flashed both at a rate of 1 Hz or more. This status did not change, so after an hour I cut the power, removed the mmc, and the drive started up normally, but with the old firmware of course. Whad did I do wrong? Do I have to format the mmc in a specific way (like FAT16-FAT32 etc)?
