I need to copy 320 bits from an array to 10 DWORDs in a DB.

I need to say also that I have a S7-1200 and not a 1500 so I cannot use a lot of  "move" functions.

What do you think about? I did not use a "FOR" instruction to save mSeconds in the PLC'S cycletime.

Hi there.

Consider using the PEEK and POKE commands available for SCL
POKE_BLK is the instruction that will help you out.

The catch is that you will have to ensure that the DBs used is not optimized.

Ask if you require more help.. just be specific on what you need.

What do you mean by "clever way"?
I am curious to know what your definition is.

Personally these days I focus on coding programs that others can understand and fault find more easily. Many moons ago we had to code in such a way that other programmers find it difficult to follow the program... now passwords secure our "secrets" / hard work and the aim is on better co-operation with the client's technicians.

Returning to the theme..
If you are thinking of an adaptive code or something like that.. you could still do that with the PEEK / POKE commands.

Depending on the program structure you might be able to use the AT OVERLAY method.
