Safe Speed Monitor, encoder, and Sinamics S120

paolo.azzaroli Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	In the Safety Integrated Function Manual 01/2011 for th SINAMICS S120, page 36 there is the table2.2 where it is stated that the "Safe Speed Monitor " function can be performed only with encoder. But at the point 5.7.1 ... Function(page 91)it is said: << Without an encoder, the "Safe Speed Monitor" essentially functions the same as described in the previous sections under "Safe Speed Monitor with encoder" >> Please can someone confirm that the second statement is true, and the "Safe Speed Monitor" can be performed without encoder ?
