How transfer WinCC prj. betw. PCs without losing data ?

There are 2 PCs with the same type of Win10 and WinCC 7.4 SP1+ Upd9. One PC (“target PC”) is supposed to be used for RT “runtime” in the future. The another PC "Development PC" will be used as the main one when developing the project. Is it possible to create a WinCC project alternately on one PC and then on another, transferring it from PC to PC ? The main tasks are : - not to lose any project data when creating a project on a PC and then transfer it to another PC ; - after the end of development, it would be possible to transfer the project to the “target” PC, make the final settings and launch the RT runtime into operation. If so, what reconfigurations will be required when transferring a project from one PC to another? Do I only need : - to "Start Server Locally" ; - to give the WinCC server the name of the current PC using the "Use Local Computer Name" button and reopen the project ? Nothing else ? Thanks in advance !

Thanks in advance ! Hi Alex What type of development are you thinking to do it. Because you have to consider that AlarmLogging and DataLogging are archiving data, so you can move easy the full proyect without stoping the runtime. You can update screens / Scripts and so on and then transfer to Runtime proyect. I don´t know if this can help you. Regards

Now the only question is about not to lose any Project Data when transfering them from one PC to another and vice verca. I also want to create Archiving, TagLogging, AlarmLogging, Trends, maybe some scripts. After I finally launch the RT on the "target" PC I will make the necessary project changes on the "target" PC directly.

Sorry guys, I had to tell about the main thing at ones. The "target PC" and a "WinCC creating PC" may have no any connection with Ethernet or any other network.

As Station of engeniring You always have the possibility of create some screens for testing , scripting, etc... wihtout stop the runtime , so without losing data. Regards

I want to copy STEP7 - project (with OS as WinCC integrated) from PC1 to USB Memory Stick, then insert it to PC2, which has NO any network connection to the first one, then start the Project on PC2 in Configuration Mode ONLY and to continue develope the Project. After couple days I want to do exactly the same, but PC2 --> PC1. After one more couple days I want to do exactly the same, but PC1 --> PC2. What should I do in order not to lose any Project Data ? Or I will not lose any Project Data anyway and I must not worry ?

Copy from one station to another, and preserve AlarmLogging and DataLogging in the Runtime computer. Regards
