AutoGen_9673719 Joined: 7/2/2024 Last visit: 3/21/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I currently have an S7-1214C V2.0 and an HMI KTP1000 that work well together. However, I need to upgrade from the KTP1000 to the KTP1200 Basic PN. To do this, I changed the HMI type in my program on TIA Portal and successfully loaded the program into the KTP1200. However, when I connect the KTP1200 to the PLC, I am unable to send commands to the PLC. I suspect that additional configuration may be necessary for the PLC-HMI connection ? Is it possible that the KTP1200 Basic PN is not compatible with the S7-1214C V2.0? Thank you for your assistance.

Did you compile (Rebuild All) (Hardware and Software) What version of TIA Portal are you using? (What was the original version of TIA Portal?) Perhaps this link might help: In WinCC (TIA Portal), how do you configure a connection between WinCC Runtime Advanced or HMI Panel and an S7 controller over Industrial Ethernet (PROFINET)? I migrated the project to TIA Portal V17, then I changed the device type from KTP1000 to KTP1200 and performed a Rebuild All (Hardware and Software). I successfully loaded the program into the HMI. Afterwards, I disconnected the RJ-45 cable that connects the PLC and the KTP1000, which works well together, and connected it to the KTP1200 to establish the connection between the KTP1200 and the CPU S7-1214C V2.0. If not then it could be that the symbolic addressing has changed in the migration. If you do not want to load or upgrade the PLC in V17 you can only switch to absolute addressing and non optimized DBs or you use a Proy PLc from your V13 PLc in your HMI v17 project and renew the HMI connection and the HMI Tags to synchronize new bye Murof
