crhbgfx Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, Drive MM420 6SE6420-2AD27-5CA1 E02/1.2 (with KCC-REM-S49 lable) operates 2x3kW fan motors (big inertia). Some times a day fault F0002 occures. I would think it's a ramp-downtime issue but it's not. Things we have done so far: - input voltage checked, 400-402V, no spikes and interruptions - motor and cables checked by megger - OK - P1240=1, P1121=40, P1135=20 - motor parameters set correctly (rated Amps and kWsx 2) - MM420 exchanged with another one - no result I tryed to start installation from PC (DriveMonitor). It executed start to max RPM and stop from max RPM without problems. Then I started it at max RPM and after 10 minutes of running MM420 faulted with F0002. Could you please advise any solution? Thank you in advance.

crhbgfx Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Ste39, The most mysterious thing for me - F0002 at full speed, not at stopping. It could happen with motor winding ground fault but we double checked it with megger. Using MM430 - may be in future installations...

Р210 = 480 Р1135 = 20 Р1254 = 0 Р2172 = 1500 Р1800 = 2 Р1200 = 4 Р1210 = 6 Р1253 = 10 P1236 = 100 Р2100 = 85 Р2101 = 1 I sure that root of the problem is operation of 2 fans from 1 MM420 and in some circumstancesthey get resonance overvoltage. Perhaps output inductor would help but it means extra cost. Best Regards!

But I think you should not change P1800 unless you are very sure that it is really needed and you know what will be effect of changing it. Best solution for you is breaking Resistor rather than changing some key parameters. Your tripping is due to regenration of the Motor due to very high inertia and it is not necessary that this will happen only during Stopping - regeneration can alsohappen if your load is too high to control in given ramp time and what i see best option to reolve this, is to use of Breaking Resistor Regards, Devesh

crhbgfx Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi all, 1 little problem to put resistor - MM420 has no connection for it . Using of another drive could be discussed but not applyed at this installation. I have used motor windings as kind of braking resistor = compound breaking switched on. About P1800: 1) motor frequency not more then 50Hz 2) there are PTC in the windings and I suspected disturbances coming by feedback line 3) it really help! Besty regards

Ste39 Platinum Member Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 11/20/2024 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hi crhbgfx, I'm sorry you're right You could try using the DC injection braking, the Micromaster 420 supports two modes of DC injection braking Please note that this type of braking can cause excessive overheating of the engine, try and see if it is the solution to your case. In theory, the one that fits your case would be to "compound" in practice during braking when the Vdc bus exceeds a certain value is sent to the motor current which is superimposed on the current drive and goes to the limit raising the voltage on the DC bus.
