Learning about S7-400 H systems

Pandiani Bronze Member Joined: 10/31/2005 Last visit: 4/22/2025 Posts: 366 Rating: (31)	Hello guys, I have found out example Step 7 project s7-400H which is called "ZXX01_14_HSystem_S7400H". However, there are no special comments or explanations. Do you if there are some kind of tutorials with sample projects which could be good starting point. For example, I know that H systems require 2 PLCs and in this example that is so. I also know that it is enough to download program to only master PLC and it will transfer this same program to standby controller (second s7-400H). That is why there is S7 program only on one S7 417-4H CPU. The whole project is represent in HW Config like one S7-400 Station that has two (or maybe one!?!) rack UR2-H (0) and (1). Thank you very much.

The software is for 99,9% the same as for a normal CPU. The handbook can be downloaded from the next URL: S7-400H
