F-safe AI 6 Chanel modules with SF led lighting

Ayman Elotaify Platinum Member Joined: 5/28/2008 Last visit: 8/31/2025 Posts: 4522 Rating: (843)	I have a project with S7-400 FH. I use 2 CPUs 414-4HJ. And 2 identical redundantracks with ET200-M. I have powered on the PLC and I have downloaded the HW config and the software. my software was developed by CFC. I have compiled it with no errors or warnings. The HW config is typically like what I have been installed. Nowall the AI modules gives me SF led. It is lighting continouslly and in the diag. it tells me that the SF because of over/under range of Analog inputs. That's true because I did not connect the modules to the field devices yet. I have deactivated module of them totally ( I mean the six channels is deactivated) but the SF led is still lit! The problem is that when I will connect the system to the field, I have some spare points and these points is not connected to transducers and I do not want to generate SF in this case. Is there a solution for me? I have deactivated the group diagnostic and the leds is still lighting!

Aret Posts: 2348 Rating: (265)	If you have 2 spare channels (that means they are configured in HW identically) and use onlyoneofthemyoushouldconnectresistortotheotherone. Assoonasirememberresistormustbeinrange1,5kOhm-3,3kOhm -butyoucancalculateit byyourself ^)
