RAJKIRAN Silver Member Joined: 8/18/2009 Last visit: 7/28/2025 Posts: 558 Rating: (33)	Dear Expert, In our one S7 400 System, we are able to edit , download and upload the programme but unable to copy or edit inconfiguration of processor because it is password protected. we dont know password then how we get this password or any other method to get password or how we can change hardware configuration without password.

gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	In manual for cpu 4xx i see info - what reset CPU to factory setting ( Try this procedure - may be this help. Procedure Proceed as follows to reset a CPU to its factory settings: Switch off the mains voltage. If a memory card is inserted in the CPU, always remove the memory card. Hold the toggle switch in the MRES setting and switch the mains voltage on again. Wait until LED pattern 1 from the following overview is displayed. Release the toggle switch, set it back to MRES within 3 seconds and hold it in this position. After approx. 4 seconds all the LEDs light up. Wait until LED pattern 2 from the following overview is displayed. This LED pattern lights up for approximately 5 seconds. During this period you can abort the resetting procedure by releasing the toggle switch. Wait until LED pattern 3 from the following overview is displayed, and release the toggle switch again. The CPU is now reset to its factory settings. It starts without buffering and goes to STOP mode. The event "Reset to factory setting" is entered in the diagnostic buffer. as variant you can try make procedure update firmware by flash. may be passwurd will reset

Now we want to replaced one CPU with same MLFB no. then is ok to system without any change or any changes required in hardware configuarartion ... If version change then any problem occured... Please tell.......
