Hello everybody,

I want to develop an predictive maintenance application with a siemens PLC using IO-Link. I will have around 8766 samples of data per year. One sample will consist of one Struct with 5 interger parameters.

How I should estimate how much memory do I need since I wont be using any extern DB like MySQL. Also what types of CPU would you suggest for an application like this? S7-1200 or above please.

Then I would just do something like this:

Process Data Acquisition and Monitoring with the SIMATIC S7-1200 / S7-1500 (Data Logging)

 This can be done with a S7-1200. Amount of data is depending on the size of Simatic Memory Card.
