I tried to install it on the latest Example Image V1.2.2 (Debian 11), but was not able to. 

The step 1 in the linked instructions needs to be changed for Debian 11. There is one existing for Debian 11 and it also contains the prod.list file: https://packages.microsoft.com/config/debian/11/. 

When I add this repository and follow the other steps, the package defender-iot-micro-agent is not available. 

I found some packages here, downlaoded it and transfered it to the IOT2050, but it seems that this is only for armhf not arm64... 

Did not find a way to install this software, sorry. Maybe Microsoft should update their docu for current Debian versions.
