Evening, is there an external IO box that will connect to a S7-1500 via ProfiNET?

We are building a machine to show off what can be done and this would be preferable to using wires for each sersor / solenoid.

Siemens has several PN I/O modules with lights / switches / pushbuttons as well as HMIs with buttons / switches / E-Stops as needed for any demo.  Contact your local Siemens Sales rep to see if they have any demo units available and contact your local Siemens distributor to see if they have a showroom or technical training area with those types of devices.

Or, look in the Siemens "industry mall" for profinet based devices.

To add details to O_Einstein's reply, you culd have a look at he Sirius ACT line of pushbutton controls with Profinet, from Siemens.
