First Use of IOT2050 - Login failed

The MLFB and FS on the type sticker is 6ES7 647-0BA00-1YA2 with FS: 01 . First I thought the IOT will start from internal eMMC card but the status LEDS just went to red. Then I copied the example image IOT2050_Example_Image_V1.1.1 onto a SD card and started again. Now the IOT boots from the card but then stays in a Login status, see attached pic. I would like to update the Firmware and get the unit in a status I can work with NODE-RED. Can somebody give me hints which steps first and how to get the IOT2050 in a uptodate status? many thanks vural Attachment IMG_7195_.jpg (612 Downloads)

bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 4/24/2025 Posts: 3345 Rating: (382)	Hi, the FS:01 has been delivered without pre-installed Industrial OS, that's why you got a red STAT LED. To update the firmware to the latest version, at first you need setup the Example Image V1.1.1. A setup guide can be found here. It is not stuck in the login state, you need to login with root/root ;) After that you can perform the firmware update, how to is described here. After that you can use the latest Example Image V1.2.2, node-red is pre-installed and autostarted. An Industrial OS for the new firmware version is still not released, I am awaiting this the next weeks. Another option is to use the Industrial OS V2.2 with pre-installed firmware on your IOT2050 FS:01. If you want to go this way, then please send a DM to me with your email address. Best regards!
