ZZZavist' Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Alright guys! Here is the Thing(SIMATIC MANAGER, CPU 412-5 H PN/DP). I have some problems with a MODBUS data area expansion. There is a db wich is called "DB MODBUS PARAM". For example, there is empty fields like data type,db, start,end. So, i created DB666, entered data type and so on, but after downloading param db i can't poll these addreses("MODBUS POLL" software, "illegal data area" error, moreover i can't see my changes in "DB MODBUS PARAM" (in online), there is still empty fields. Could someone please help me out?

When it doesn't work, have a look at the ERROR and STATUS values of the block for the reason. And have a look at the manual or the block online help (F1) or the example project. Wüstenräuber

ZZZavist' Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	i clearly understand that PARAM DB for the parameterization. It is already configured. SO, there's two db's (1 and 2 for example) for holding reg 100 adrdeses each. I'm trying to add third db for holding reg with adress starting from 200 to 299, but after modification made and downloading to cpu it's still has default fields in online view. I can read and write previously configured regs but since my modifications wasn't made i can't poll anything new. So how to change db properly?

ZZZavist' Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I was changing initial values in PARAM DB in STOP mode and then downloaded it to CPU. After that i switched cpu in run mode and watched actual values in online and they are different, not initial.

And when you change the parameter datablock manually (without the wizard), you must change it in data view AND in declaration view. And check, which version of block do you use: with initialization via restart of CPU or with init bit. If you use the init bit, then check the programming.
