OptiumOz Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi there - I'm tring to create a heater which has the capability to go to 300DegC 1) The PT100 input on the Logo! seems to be limited to 200DegC (options are 'greyed out') whilst many of the available probes are ok to over 500DegC. What options do I have? 2) Could a PT probe be inputed to a standard analogue input with a suitable companion resistor and Logo! analogue amplifier blocks? 3) Is there ay way to use a k type thermocouple or an RTD? Thanks for your help in advance!

cdrshort Posts: 134 Rating: (16)	take a sensor you want to use with the right converter to 0-10v and you can do what ever you want i use converters from www.jummo.de they are programed for the in-out and they cost the same money as the expansion for am pt100 module of logo. What I have found is that most of the temperature transmitters that I have come accrossconvert to 4-20mA(not 0-10V). Clearly the one you sent me does (and another I found at www.omega.com) - but they do seem a bit more expensive than the basic 4-20mA versions. However, I would need to purchase a Logo! Analogue input if I was going to try use the 4-20ma type and therefore the total cost would be about the same. One last question.WouldI be able to set up the gain and offset for a 4-20mA signal into the Logo!'s 0-20ma satisfatorily? Thanks again Simon

One last question.WouldI be able to set up the gain and offset for a 4-20mA signal into the Logo!'s 0-20ma satisfatorily?] if you have a dc supply versionof logo then you dont have to by the module for AI cos the dc versions include 2-4 AI 0-10V yes you would be able to set the gain and offset but keep in your mind that 4-20ma =2-10V or 0-20ma=0-10V if you use the converter from jummo then you can make an internal scale to the converter.
