In some cases, it is essential or the correct solution to have the PLC go to stop mode in certain situations. In cases where the PLC programmer has accepted the responsibility of handling errors correctly, there are OBs you can create to detect and handle errors. What is the reason the PLC is stopping that is an acceptable problem? Or, is it more important to smoothly shutdown the system in the event of a hardware failure or software (programming error)?
