 I'm having the same question: simulate a HMI, but using an Access Address NAT IP address to connect.

PLC no issue, as I can use Extended go online with the NAT IP of the PLC filled into the Access Address, but I cannot find a similar function for simulating an HMI.

Preferably, I do not want to change any properties in my project. So only setting a 'temporary' access address would be great.

PG/PC interface etc seems fine, though I am not familiar with having to setup things here. I only select the correct adapter, that's it..

Can I somehow set the NAT IP address, or routing to the PLC, there?

If you start the HMI Simulation the Runtime will try to connect to the ip that is specified in the HMI connection and it is used the Access Point that is set also in the HMI connection. Which Communication adapter or resource is used you define in the  assignment in the PGPC interface settings.

Could you please, elaborate what do yo mean by "simulate HMI" do you mean that you want to run the simulation of your HMI project in TIA Portal and connect it to the physical PLC? If so, as far as I know, the PC where the HMI simulation is running must have the same IP as the one you difined for the HMI in the TIA Portal project.

this is not totally correct. The simulation PC has only to be in the same subnet or have a working TCPIP Connection to the PLC but it do not have to has the same IP as the HW HMI. This is not important because only the destination address of the PLc has to fit with the project.
