Dear Experts,

I am using Analog Input Module 6ES7 531-7KF00-0AB0 for analog sensors, and checked "Wire Break" option to detect the sensor wiring connection.

In my application, some time it needs to connect analog sensor but some time is not.

When its connecting analog sensor, the analog module is prompting green light.
When its NOT connecting analog sensor, the analog module is prompting red light.

Possible to disable "Wire Break" by using logic programming, instead of check and uncheck the option at the Device Configuration?

very sry, your requirements about connect/disconnect analog signal is not clear to me. Why is required this procedure? Really I can't imagine situation that I need connect/disconnect AI signal as action inside process or depended to process. Simply to work or not with AI I have code programming so I can easy bypass AI signal depended to any conditions I need or have. Can you better describe what you want to do?

Basically I have two set of PLCs which are using same hardware:

- PLC 1 is connecting 10x analog sensors
- PLC 2 is connecting 5x analog sensors

I am only using one logic for both PLCs, the "Wire Break" is checked in Device Configuration for all the 10x AI. But it result that:

In PLC 1, Analog Module is prompting green light
In PLC 2, Analog Module is prompting red light, logic detected "Wire Break"

I want to remain one logic for both PLCs. Hence, was thinking possible to use logic to disable "Wire Break" but not uncheck "Wire Break" in Device Configuration.

 Hi there,

I see you ignored post from jacek  d, however he offered you to get acquainted with the manual (in particular Chapter B) where is clearly written that Byte 8 bit 4 is responsible for wire break alarm.

So, if you write some code that sets respective bit to AI module config when you need alarm to be deactivated you solve your issue.

So, in case of CPU2 you need to deactivate diagnostics on respective channels by means of setting bit 4 of byte 8 to zero.
