I am connecting some solar inverter to logo via modbus connection to read the actual parameters of system. Registers are in 16bits (two bytes) unsigned integer and most of them I can read with adress mapping in the setup of modbus connection settings.

Today i have found out one problem which I can't solve. The Output power because of the high value is written in two registers and have to be merged.

Is there any possibility to connect them into one integer value to read the real Output power value?

I can't for now on because I need to prepare program in Offline mode just from documentation I have

Now I have 2 registers as 16bits (two bytes) unsigned integer. So After merging I need 32 bits unsigned integer. In math opertion I can devide for 1000 to change the unit and move it again to 16 bit integer. But before I have to merge in some way that values. I have only an example how someone did it on arduino

At first I thought that maybe there was some particularly clever undocumented way...

I have tried once to break a floating point number to an integer with a register and logic blocks (the F/I block cannot tell if there is an overflow from a value above 32768). It quickly became unmanageable...

So there is no possibility to merge that 2 integers?

Can You explain the thing with counter? Will it be possible to join them with use of counter?

I will try if that works in that case. Maybe that will be enough.
