Hello everyone,

I'm trying to retreive float data from the Siemens CIM module in logosoft.

The problem I am encountering is that I'm losing resolution.

The online CIM monitor shows me the data that has been retreived from the external device:

When I calculate this back to the Interger value it reads 234.263916016 which is accurate.

When I read this data from the LOGO! through the S7port with the following settings:

Store it in VW address 0 --> then convert it from float to int with data input VM address 0 and read it out, it only shows 234.0 or 234.5 as if it is losing the last 2 bytes of data.

What could cause this? Where am I losing two bytes of data?

Thank you for your swift reply.

I added the NAI to shift the decimal to the correct location with the resolution I wanted. I'll adjust as you suggested.

As alwais I found the problem to be between the keyboard and the chair.

The problem was that I was only asking for 2Bytes instead of the 4bytes required for the float.

By adding an addition network request for the next two bytes the resolution increased.

I'm fairly sure i've read about this multiple times but it did just not ring a bell.
