I would like to know how many I/O modules can support the S7-1500 CPUs. Also, I would like to learn how to find this data in the manual, because for the S7-1200 CPU, I look in the manual and search for the specific CPU and, its Expansion of Modules and Boards.

The S7-1500 system allows a single row configuration of up to 32 modules. This includes CPU, power supply, communication and IO modules. Please refer to the system manual for more details.

It is not always as simple as the specifications state.

Use the online TIA Selection Tool, drop in your S7-1500 of choice, and start populating I/O, power, and any needed comm modules.

The tool will let you know when you are unable to add more local modules.

After that, you can add remote I/O, and that's where the real power of the S7-1500 starts to shine.  I say that because local I/O tops out at 1.0ms update speeds, whereas remote I/O can get as fast as 250µs (0.25ms) for most S7-1500's, and starts to possibly enable IRT / ISO communications methods that really enhance I/O synchronization.
