TP1200 HMI comfort Audit license Missing

Antique_ Member Joined: 9/25/2021 Last visit: 6/9/2025 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I recently had an issue with the stand alone system with TP1200 HMI comfort connected with S7-1200 plc while in production. I saw a pop-up showing that the audit license was missing in HMI, but the correct license was installed on the HMI and it was working fine. I pressed the Noted button, but after a while, the HMI runtime crashed and another pop-up appeared saying "The hmirtm.exe application encountered a serious error and needs to be closed." We then had to restart the HMI. After restarting the HMI, no pop-up appeared. Can anyone suggest me what could cause the license error popup and HmiRTm.exe error to appear? Thank you In Adv. Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 16331 Rating: (1931)	Hello Antique_ It could be that the license is defect or missing on the panel -> To check this contact your TIA or ALM with the Panel and select the license on the Panel and Check if its OK or defect. If its gone or defect you can restore it by contacting the Siemens Support Bye Murof

To verify if this error only occurs with a specific project and rule out that it is a panel problem. - I would also try deleting the IM folder of the project: "How do I delete the IM folder of my TIA Portal project?": https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/pe/en/view/109778709 Compile and reload. Could you try and share this information? Best regards!
