I am using software Hyper-V Virtualization to run TIA Portal V17 Update 8, Simatic Automation Tool and Proneta 

Operating System :- Windows Server 2022

-I have CPU 1215C Connected to a TP-Link wireless router i  can't find it in the accessible devices but i can go online from the project normally

- the same problem when try Simatic Automation Tool or Proneta i can't find my PLC until i insert it manually

** I tried the same setup on a normal win10 on the same PC and every thing run perfect so the problem is in hyper-v

** When use ethernet instead of wireless on Hyper-V every thing run perfect but i have to use wireless unfortunately 

- i don't have anti-virus and i tried to disable firewall but i can't find the problem

this is because online access in TIA and proneta uses some layer 2 communications.

When selecting the default switch in hyperV you "connect" your VM trough a router with NAT. this operation limits your communications to the network layer 3.

if you want full access to your hardware, you will need to give access to your ethernet adapter to hyperV.

You will need to create a new virtual adapter, and set it to external.

If you have network sharing enabled there might be some conflicts, depending on the addresses, I suggest to disable it. Obviously this will drop internet on your host machine.

I personally use a usb adapter assigned to my VM and wifi to the host machine.

this is the extent of the hyper-v settings in order to achieve comunication:

after this, your VM will have full access to the network adapter.

you will now need to properly set it up the network adapter (dhcp/static, and subnet mask) INSIDE your VM.

I suggest working with cables, it is doable with Wifi, but it adds a layer of complexity.
