Hi, I have a project with a pair of redundant CPUs (1517H-3PN) and IM155-6PN I/O groups, consisting a ring. There are also several G120C drives in the same ring that will send/receive data (power, current, temperature, etc.) to CPUs. If I assign a G120C to an I/O controller (i.e. PLC1, like the first driver in Figure-1), PLC-1 appears as partner and I can assign input and output words of PLC directly to telegram words. Compiling the hw also gives an error as "<drive-1> is only assigned to "PLC_1". The device must be assigned to both PLCs of the R/H-System. Assign the device also to "PLC_2" (Figure-3). However, I cannot assign the drive to both CPUs (like I did for IM155s) and I am not sure if this setup would work if a switchover occurs. If I leave drivers unassigned (Figure-2), then there is no partner assigned and no hw identifier that I can use. At this point, it seems that I can use RDREC and WRREC to communicate but I am not sure how to set the ID. * Is it possible to continue with the first option? If yes, what am I missing with the assignment to both controller? * If I shall continue without assigning to any controller, then how to identify which equipment to communicate in RDREC and WRREC blocks? Thanks in advance & best regards, Cumhur NAMRUK AttachmentFigures.zip (502 Downloads) |

if you use the GSD file of the Drive you can able to assign multi control. Please follow this instruction
