I have this same issue on two different comfort panels, TP700 and TP1200.  Both of my HMI's are V11 and I am trying to update to V16.  I've tried to go to firmware 13.0.0. first, but regardless of USB, or Ethernet, or PN/IE it wont connect.  I've tried setting the PG/PC interface to USB and Prosave will recognize the HMI but when it comes to flashing the HMI it fails.

Trying this with TIA V16 the IP address it's looking for comes up correctly, but upload cannot happen because of unknown parameters.  Ive tried to go load via USB drive but I get a compile error, which I assume is that V11 wont be able to load from USB.  

Any suggestions?

Split from ProSave can't connect to the HMI.

Hi.

With V16 the image of the panels only are installed with the DV3 of TIA Portal installation. WIthout this images the firmware of the panel can't be updated.

Check too the transfer settings of the panel and PC:

-In the panel:

-Transfer mode it's set in automatic.

-Check the transfer protocol of the panel.

-In the PC:

-Check that the IP of your  PC it's in the same subnet of the panel

-Check the interface PG/PC. Select your  network card with protocol TCPIP.1.
