Trending page is not able to retrieve the values from the logged files

I have a USB stick with ample storage (Sandisk, USB3.0, 120GB) and It's logging alright for the first hours (2-3hours) but after that the trending page is not able to retrieve the values from the logged files, it gives '###' as proces value from the datapoint. Also the noteble thing is that my log files for some reason are all 36KB "when they stop logging". any experience with this by any chance? Thanks in advance! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Logging Issue - Comfort Panels.

If you use the Systemfunction "StopRuntime" and then look in the logfile on PC, do you see all the entries? Bye Murof

To be honest, I've switched back to a normal (slightly older) USB stick with just 2GB of storage and FAT32 format and stopped looking any further as I was in full commisioning of the project. I can retrieve this information if you'd like me to. I find it a little bit strange that the USB stick of 2GB works perfectly, and the newer data storage (either an SSD or the SanDisk I talked about) isn't able to provide a consistent working (data read&write). Are there any good practices you recommend when trying to log (large amounts of) data on a storage connected to an HMI panel when you don't have the possibility to provide big Historian software or access to any historian server to log historical data? Just to be clear: I don't want to trend this large amount of data necessarly, just logging it into a file and store it on a device (USB/SSD) connected to the HMI Panel Have a festive period! If you have a Comfort Panel you can only store limited data: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109815056/149280625163 So you should not use more data than 20000 Entries per log. So a 2GB Memory should last very long. Also Backup Files of the Panel are only a few MB and no GB. This kind of Panels are not made for storing historical data of a huge amount. You can also use the suggested external memory devices from Siemens (SD and USB) this should work in any case. Bye Murof
